Isleton Shows Up For the Sunday Market!

Our roving reporter brings us the news from the Sunday Market, sponsored by the Delta Bay Foundation and hosted bi-monthly through the summer in  the central meadow at Park Delta Bay!

This week, we learned that two fantastic Isleton businesses have donated to support the Sunday Market!

The Sunday Market returns to the grounds of Park Delta Bay for its July 23rd market.  A dozen vendors offering everything from soap to bowls provide ample creative inspiration for your home-decorating, gifting, or simply rewarding yourself with awesome Delta-made beauty.  Treat yourself to wire jewelry, herb-infused oils, crystals, a Tarot card reading, or a lovely hand-made fabric bag.

When you’re hungry, stroll over to the Taqueria Mexico booth and partake of authentic Mexican cuisine.  The Delta Bay Foundation has your thirst covered with cold beer, bottled water, and even juice for the kids.  Sit under the shade trees to rest and dine while the Market’s favorite entertainer, Randy Carey, strums his songs and hums his chords.

While you’re there, keep your cell phone handy — because the Customer Appreciation Drawing returns, and this time, Isleton does us proud!

McBoodery Gift Set

The Isleton Coffee Company / Isleton Biscuit Company has donated a $25.00 gift certificate and a bag of coffee, with the lucky winner also receiving a metal coffee tumbler for their amazing coffee!  The McBoodery, our favorite Isleton deli, has also contributed a $25.00 gift certificate, which comes to the winner with a lunch bag for carrying home the delicious sandwiches!

Each customer who makes a purchase at any Sunday Market vendor on July 23rd receives a ticket.  Write your name and cell phone number on one half and drop it in the bucket at the beer tent.  Drawings will be held at Noon and 2:00 p.m., with the Noon drawing winner receiving the McBoodery lunch prize, and the 2:00 p.m. winner receiving the Isleton Coffee Company prize.  If you shop early, your ticket stays in the bucket all day and you’ve got two chances to win the drawing!

You don’t need to be present to win.  If your number is legible, the Market Manager will text you.  The two winners will have 48 hours to respond and make arrangements to collect their prizes.  If they don’t respond, another ticket will be drawn until both prizes are claimed.

The Sunday Market vendors and volunteers send a big Delta Thanks to Ruby Fowler and Aleida Suarez of the Isleton Coffee Company / Isleton Biscuit Company and Sarah McGee and Mike Abood of the McBoodery.   Everyone connected with the Sunday Market has their roots in the Delta, by family, residence, or work.  They support the Delta, and they feel so very fortunate that the Delta gives back the love!

The Sunday Market hours on July 23rd will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The weather should cooperate, with a light cloud cover keeping that late afternoon temperature a bit lower than it has been.  But it’s always cooler on the Delta Loop, with the breeze dancing through the trees and the Market tent rising overhead.  So grab your family and friends, and come on out to the one-and-only California Delta Loop for some fabulous shopping, delicious food, and wonderful music.  You might just win one of the Customer Appreciation Drawings!  See you at the Sunday Market!

The Delta Bay Foundation is a California not-for-profit with 501(c)(3) status.  Its mission is to promote the culture, commerce, community, and conservation of the California Delta.  Park Delta Bay allows the Foundation to use its grounds as a courtesy to the community.  Due to a private grant, the Foundation has not yet had to charge its participating vendors.  For information about the Sunday Market, contact the Market Manager, Corinne Corley, via email at ccorleyjd@gmail.com or phone/text at 816-520-9152.  For directions to the park, call the Park office at 916-777-5588.
