Introducing: The Delta Bay Yoga – Workout Room!

Park Delta Bay already offers amenities to its residents and short-term renters such as a pool, community room, tennis courts, and laundry facilities. Staff constantly maintain, repair, upgrade, and improve the existing features, everything from ordering new parts necessitating short-term closure to organizing residents to decorate and enhance. Recently, changes in available space allowed the residents to move the Delta Bay Community Garden from the west side, where it had been started in 2018, to a central location that previously had not been readily available. Between budgeted acquisitions of new or upgraded mechanics to installation of gifted items, these communal areas continue to provide enjoyment for everyone who stays at the Park or the Marina.

Recently, park staff, management, and members of the community have joined to create a Yoga-Workout Room in what served as storage for several years. Located at the south end of the clubhouse building, the new facility has exercise equipment, free weights, and yoga mats as well as floor mats for comfort. A water cooler, hand-sanitizer, and wall-mounted televisions enhance the exercise experience. Candice Adrian, who provides on-site management for both the Park and the Marina, credits teamwork for the room’s creation. “Several residents donated most of the equipment,” she noted. “My co-workers and I put it all together; and as folks begin to use it, I’m sure it will evolve.” Among planned acquisitions are a weight-rack to hold the free-weights and mirrors for those interested in checking form as they stretch.

The Yoga-Workout Room is open during office hours and a code for access can be secured at the park kiosk between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily. Use of the room is restricted to long or short-term residents of Park Delta Bay and folks docked in a slip at the Delta Bay Marina. Users must be eighteen or accompanied by an adult. Use by children under 12 must be specifically arranged with park management. Alcohol wipes are provided for cleaning the equipment after use. A water dispenser is available on site for filling your water bottles.
