As most of you know, a brave father, Moua Lo, lost his life saving his baby who had fallen into the San Joaquin River, not far from our Park and Marina.
At the May 11th Swap Meet (9:00 a.m.to Noon) in the Park, and on the same day at the Wine-Tasting (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) at the Marina,
Park/Marina residents will be collecting donations for the widow and children of Moua Lo.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE FAMILY.
The family has given their permission and blessing for this community effort to help his widow and children defray the expenses of his funeral and other needs.
Cash donations will be deposited and transmitted to his family in full.
Checks may be made payable to the Delta Bay Foundation and will also be deposited and all proceeds will be sent to his widow.
Although our rivers bring us much pleasure, they can also be deadly.
Please note that all three of Moua Lo’s children wore life-vests that day.
Our marina staff encourages everyone to learn and practice water safety.
