On Saturday, September 14th, 2019, from Noon to 4:00 p.m., we proudly welcome visitors to enjoy the best of the Delta: Art, wine, music, food, friends, & fun.
At the Bar, we’ll be serving wine from local vineyards, while over at the grill, burgers, hot dogs, salads, and whatever-we-find-to-tempt will be arrayed for your self-serve. Throughout the afternoon, guitarist and singer-songwriter Josh Jakubowski will entertain us with his downhome North Carolina pickin’.
In the boaters’ lounge, we’ll feature the breathtaking photography of two of the Delta’s most beloved artists.
Demi Stewart shares the unique perspective of a bridge tender. She captures the sunrises that we miss when we don’t rise til six and the sunsets that dazzle the Delta after eight. With a birds-eye view of the cranes, egrets, hawks, and terns, Stewart never fails to astonish with her candid shots of nature doing what nature does best in the Sacramento Valley.
Read Demi Stewart’s full profile and see more of her work HERE. Stewart’s framed pieces and prints will be available for purchase or custom-order at the show.
Showing with Stewart is the legendary Don Wisdom, founder of the Delta News Facebook group and purveyor of all things Delta. Wisdom can focus on a single
flower or a far-away field with equal success. Nothing speaks quite like the sight of pears ripe on the Wisdom vine.
Wisdom’s work will also be for sale that day. Like those of Stewart, Wisdom’s pieces would make excellent gifts for the Delta lover at Christmas time, or a splendid treat for yourself.
