The Delta Bay Foundation closes its summer season on August 27th in the central meadow of Park Delta Bay. More than a dozen vendors, live entertainment, a beer tent, and an exciting new food option will unfold for their customers’ enjoyment from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. that day.
Favorite vendors returning for the last Sunday Market of the summer include Rachel Warren’s Magical Alchemy Designs; Kimmy by Kim Carlson, hand-made linen bags, linens, and scrunchies; Let’s Get Sauced! by Heather Sousa; and Robin Pack’s Tiny Bakeshop. Silo Farm Organic’s summer offerings include squash, heirloom tomatoes, gorgeous sunflowers, and whatever organic veggies Ali and Jenn pick that morning.
Throughout the Market, local artisans offer their handmade wares including crystals, glassware, beads, candles, and visual art.
With the exodus of two-season food vendor Taqueria Mexico due to the success of their second location at Vieiera’s Resort, the Sunday Market launches a new adventure in food court offerings to delights its visitors — come check it out! While enjoying lunch and a cold drink from the Beer Tent, listen to the mellow stylings of Doug Brewer, filling in for Sunday Market regular entertainer Randy Carey who’s on his annual pilgrimage to the north country. Doug joined Randy for the Sunday Market special event at Brannan Island State Recreational Area, much to the delight of vendors, volunteers, and visitors. The Sunday Market crew looks forward to his debut as a solo act in the Delta.
In honor of the last summer Sunday Market, customers will again have a chance to win a prize in a Customer Appreciation Drawing. Every participating vendor will donate one item from their inventory. The market manager and her cohort will create three gorgeous gift baskets. With each purchase from a vendor at the August 27th market, customers will receive a Drawing ticket which they will drop in the bucket in front of one of the baskets! At the close of the day, the manager’s cohort will choose one ticket from each bucket, and three lucky customers will get the text announcing that they’ve won! (Please note, certain restrictions apply and will be posted; only one prize per customer, please. Your cell phone must be legible. If the same customer is chosen for a second or third prize, a redraw will occur.)
The Delta Loop expects gorgeous, mild summer weather, clear and breezy for the coming weekend. In the lovely, lush setting of the unique atmosphere of the California Delta, the Sunday Market offers an opportunity to shop, stroll, and sit in the shade enjoying good food and good music. Several new vendors have joined the roster, so if you haven’t been to the Sunday Market since its Spring opener, you will be delighted! In addition, the Friends of the Isleton Library will be on hand, selling books and other items to raise money for the library’s programs. You’re sure to find something for yourself, your home, your family, and your friends — so come on out!
The Delta Bay Foundation is a California not-for-profit granted 501(c)(3) tax status. Its goal is to promote the culture, commerce, conservation, and community of the California Delta. Its last two market events in 2023 after the August 27th Sunday Market are the Harvest Market and Camp Tiny House, on the weekend of October 21st and 22nd; and the Holiday Market on December 10th.
