The Vendors of the Sunday Market: A Snapshot!

The Sunday Market’s Harvest Market takes place one week from today, on October 11th, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The Harvest Market features most of the vendors of this summer’s Sunday Market with several new exhibitors.  To enrich your Market experience, here’s a list of the participants with a description of what each has sold in the past or indicates they will be selling at the Harvest Market.  Please note, occasionally vendors cannot attend a scheduled market, so please visit another booth if the vendor for whom you are looking isn’t present!

Starting with the first person whom you’ll see adjacent to the parking lot, and moving along Market Row, here are the vendors and their offerings:

Pattie Whitaker does double-duty at the Market, in addition to being one of the organizers and idea-makers behind the Market itself.  You’ll first encounter her at the Grill Station.  For the Harvest Market, Miss Pattie plans her famous burgers and hot dogs, but also will be offering chili to enjoy with cornbread or a-top your burger or dog!

Pattie also makes and sells lovely bracelets, which you’ll find at the table with Melissa Stolte’s Lavender Lovelies, mentioned later.

Miss Carol and Miss Jeri, along with Jeri’s husband Wayne, had the ice cream and drinks stand all summer.  They currently plan corn-on-the-cob, churros, and cold drinks which will nicely complement your plate from the Grill Station!

The mother and daughter pair of Alice and Jenn from Silo Farm Organics return with their beautiful offerings.  Silo Farm Organics will also supply pumpkins for purchase and painting — assuming they have some left from their marvelous produce stand, available every day in Walnut Grove!

Helix Mosley-Darrieusset creates amazing chain-mail bracelets and necklaces from a gorgeous array of colors.  Choose one pre-made or order your perfect combination for later pick-up!  He’ll often be assisted by his husband Louis Mosley-Darrieusset, who also helps out at the Grill Station.

Melissa Stolte’s hand-made lavender soaps, oils, sachets, and candles make thoughtful gifts for a special someone or a treat for yourself!  They sell out fast, so make an early stop at the Lavender Lovelies!

At the same table, you’ll find Pattie Whitaker’s hand-strung bead bracelets.

These charming trinkets look perfect stacked or solo, and the color choices and low price mean you can coordinate any outfit with a Pattie Whitaker original!

By far the most popular booth at the Market is Robin Pack’s Tiny Bakeshop.  The delicious offerings from this home baker include breads, pies, and pastries made using local fruits and house-grown herbs.  Robin Pack has been baking for most of her life, though she also spent decades as a teacher.  We sincerely hope she decides to go into business as a “real” baker, but in the meantime, she delights her customers with her home-baked goodies!

Unless he makes the final round in a competition the prior day, Aubrey Campbell returns with his Antiques and Old Stuff, from his store where he sells. . . well, antiques and old stuff!  Also a deft knife-sharpener and wood worker, Campbell sells everything from baubles and beads to toy cars to what one customer called “guy stuff”!   We wish him well at his shooting competition and don’t want him to lose, but we’d love to see him on Market Row!

Melissa Fink might be the most versatile creative to participate in the Market.  She makes beads, creates jewelry, paints rocks, and fabricates signs from driftwood!  She works while the Market customers mill around her, and more than one customer has snagged a newly-strung bracelet right as she ties the last knot!

Next door to Melissa Fink, Tracy Holcombe cracks jokes and sells her lovely stained glass pieces.  They glitter in the sunshine hanging from hook or suction cup.   At the reasonable prices, you can collect several styles!

Michael Allen displays and sells original artwork by his sister, Angela Sims.   The Market adores Mr. Michael with his ready smile and winning personality!  But we also like the powerful work of his talented sister.  Browse through the unique offerings and find something to brighten your living space or adorn the walls of your office!

Melanie Lewis makes lovely crib and receiving blankets, shawls, and larger knit and crochet items.  She’s spent her lockdown working with yarn leftover from projects finished over the years, with her special talent for color combination.  You won’t want to miss her table!  She has beautiful potholders and coasters individually or in gift sets just in time for the holidays!

Just in time for the cold weather, Anna Martin brings her hand-crocheted beanies and scarves to the Market.  Martin will share space with Melanie Lewis.  Her adorable beanies come in a variety of fall and winter colors and range in size from infant to adult.  Come see such delights as the Whale’s Tale, Snuggly Bunny, and Candy Corn Beanies along with the Lazy Days beanie and scarf sets.      You’ll want to get one for yourself, your children, and all your besties!

Trinity Edens presents the cutest little CoZ hand-crocheted items!  Little holders, travel packs, tiny hearts — adorable!  She also staffs the table at which her husband Bernie sells the collectible items that his mother has found in her travels and forays into flea markets and estate sales.  If you’re looking for a new Mary Kay rep, Trinity can help you out there, too!

New to the Market, Rachel Warren designs “objects d’art” with a Dia de Muerte theme.  Glasses, trivets, trinkets, and baubles all carry the unique and specific celebration of the Day of the Dead.  Timely and clever!

Also a first-time vendor, Ruth Crisantos has got you covered with holiday-themed ornaments!  Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas sparkle from her varied and clever hand-painted and crafted baubles!

Rounding out Market Row, Kristi South hales from the Stockton area but currently calls Utah home.  She’d like to move back, and has scheduled a visit to family coinciding with our Market in order to display and sell her one-of-a-kind pottery!

We’ll also have the Pop-Up Rest-Stop, though we won’t, alas, have our normal entertainment as Josh Jakubowski headed for Idaho since our last summer market.  But Miss Tammy, a Park resident and para-professional in a local school district, will be hosting children’s activities in the meadow!  Who knows what else might evolve!  We can’t wait for next Sunday and the Harvest Market!  We hope you join us!

The Sunday Market is sponsored by the Delta Bay Foundation, a 501(c)(3) California not-for-profit dedicated to the promotion of the California Delta, its people, and its environment.  The Foundation is grateful to the owners and management of Park Delta Bay for allowing us to host the Sunday Market on its grounds.  Neither the Delta Bay Foundation, Park Delta Bay, nor any of the vendors accept responsibility for your safety while attending the Sunday Market or the Harvest Market.  Please respect social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines of the state of California and Sacramento County while attending the Market.  Thank you.
